Selecting Pilot Curricula to Adapt
for the Cloud University Model

The CLOUD-HED team is currently engaged in developing a strategic framework for selecting pilot curricula from our partner universities. This initiative is a critical step toward adapting these programs for the cloud university model.

Our work is driven by a commitment to creating an educational model that not only withstands disruption but also promotes a more inclusive and effective learning environment. To achieve this, we are focusing on integrating the following principles into our potential course programs:

  • Flexible Course Delivery: We aim to further leverage different paths that allow academic programs to be offered and accessed from various locations.

  • Skill Integration: The curricula are designed to be enriched with essential skills in resilience, as well as transversal and trauma-informed skills.

  • Digital Tool Strengthening: A core part of our strategy involves strengthening the use of digital tools, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and cloud platforms. This enhances the adaptability and accessibility of educational content, especially during a heightened armed conflict.

  • Support for Student Well-being and Equity: We are advocating for mental health and digital equity support strategies. This ensures that students have the necessary resources to assist students in navigating through disruptions.

  • Promoting Equitable Access: The project aims to amplify program strategies in reducing socioeconomic barriers to program enrollment, ensuring that students can enter and complete a curricular program despite financial challenges.

  • Collaborative Learning: The model emphasizes collaborative activities, both locally and internationally, to foster a global network of resilient and connected learners.
