CLOUD HED has made substantial progress in its comprehensive analysis of HE systems operating under conditions of armed conflict and crisis. Our research team has conducted an extensive investigation across multiple case studies:

• Post-WWII Polish and Austrian HE systems.

• Former Yugoslavian HE system during and immediately after the conflict.

• Ukrainian HE system during the ongoing conflict.

• Israeli HE system under current armed conflict conditions

• Polish and Latvian HE systems as examples of institutions at risk of crisis.
   

The consortium has conducted close to 100 interviews across all case studies, providing rich qualitative data on how HEIs adapt and survive during crises.
