CLOUD HED was represented at the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER 2026) in Tampere, Finland, by project partner Tamara Pigozne from Riga Technical University (RTU).

Under this year’s conference theme, “Knowing and Acting: The changing conditions and potentials of education research”, Tamara presented the contribution “Experience in Learning Achievement Assessment during Crisis Situations for Development of Cloud University Model and Application in Case of Armed Conflicts”.

The presentation addressed experiences with learning achievement assessment under crisis conditions and their relevance for developing a cloud university model that can support the continuity of higher education during armed conflicts and other major disruptions.

Participation in ECER provided an opportunity to bring CLOUD HED’s work into dialogue with the wider European educational research community and to exchange perspectives on crisis-sensitive assessment, digital and cloud-based approaches, and the resilience of higher education systems.

The conference also offered an important setting for disseminating CLOUD HED findings and connecting the project’s work with broader discussions on how higher education can remain accessible, adaptable, and responsive under rapidly changing conditions.
