CLOUD HED Partner Meeting in Vienna:
Setting the Course for the Resilience of Higher Education Systems in the Face of War and Armed Conflict

On 24–25 March 2025, the CLOUD HED consortium will gather for a strategic face-to-face meeting in Vienna. Over the course of one and a half days, experts and partner institutions will collaborate on developing resilience models for the higher education sector in response to war and armed conflict, with a particular focus on advancing digital higher education.

The first day will centre on finalising the consortium’s handbook, refining research concepts, and developing guidelines for disaster-induced cloud transitions in universities. Interactive workshops will address key framework conditions, pilot projects, and innovative online assessment formats.

The second day will focus on the development of training materials and the integration of resilience competencies into digital learning formats. The meeting will conclude with the definition of next steps, responsibilities, and milestones.

With this event, CLOUD HED is making a significant contribution to the digital transformation of higher education while fostering international exchange between research and practice. The Erasmus+ project has been running since October 2024, and this in-person meeting in Vienna marks the first opportunity for all partners to come together, including those from Ukraine and Israel.
