CLOUD HED Project Presented at the “Resilience and Regeneration in Higher Education” Conference
The CLOUD HED project was honored to participate in the “Resilience & Regeneration in University Education: Third Annual Elkana Symposium on Teaching & Learning” conference held on June 24–25 at the Central European University in Vienna. The project’s presentation, facilitated by Verena Régent and Egor Burda of WPZ Vienna, addressed the critical issue of ensuring continuity and accessibility of higher education amid armed conflict — a challenge that has become increasingly urgent in today’s complex global landscape.

Universities worldwide are facing unprecedented challenges, including political pressures, funding constraints, and social upheavals such as pandemics, wars, and democratic erosion. In this context, fostering resilience and regeneration within higher education systems is essential. The CLOUD HED project contributes to this important discourse by investigating innovative strategies to maintain and advance education during times of crisis.

The conference, organized annually by CEU’s Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning, and Higher Education Research, brings together leading experts and institutions to exchange frameworks, empirical research, and case studies that support universities in navigating contemporary and future challenges.
